Abstract
abstract the essential oils isolated by hydrodistillation from the leaves of eucalyptus alba muell. and eucalyptus camaldulensis dehnardt were analysed by gc and gc/ms. the main components identified in e. alha oil were -pinene (31.0%), -pinene (20.1%) and limonene (16.8%). the major components of the oil of e. camaldulensis were -phellandrene (24.8%), 1,8-cineole (19-3%), -pinene (12.8%) and -terpinene (11.8%). based on yield and composition, these oils are considered as unacceptable for commercial oil production.
