Abstract
the chemical composition of the essential oil of artemisia scoparia waldst et kit, growing wild in kashan, iran, was analysed by gc and gc-ms. fifteen compounds, constituing 99% of the total components detected, were identified. among them 1-phenyl-penta-2,4-diyne (30.9%), -pinene (23.3%), limonene (10.2%) and (e)--osimene (9.7%) were the major components of the oil, which was obtained in 0.96% yield. copyright (c) 2005 john wiley & sons, ltd.
