Abstract
abstract hyptis glomerata leaf, inflorescence and stem oil, obtained by steam distillation, were analyzed by gc/ms. a total of 19 compounds were identified, and the major constituents were -caryophyllene (leaf 14.3%; stem 8.6%), -cadinene (around 14% in all parts), guaiol (leafs 10.7%; inflorescence 9.4%), c/s-calamenene (stem, 11.4%) and globulol (inflorescence, 16.8%).
